The Motorola Droid
The superiority of Verizon’s network is being underscored by Droid. However, complaints are already being heard that Motorola’s Droid has too little RAM. It will sell for $200 after a $100 rebate, and it has a $30 data plan. It is direct competition to Apple’s i-Phone, since by contrast Droid supports Adobe Flash, whereas the i-Phone does not. Nonetheless, the Droid may lead to greater competition in the mobile application market because developers will need to develop on multiple platforms. The pros and cons of Droid will certainly be heard in earnest as consumers can take first shot at owning one on Friday, November 6.
